Today, there was another skydiver accident causing one to die.  This brought back to mind and idea I had a few years back to help make parachutes safer.

The original idea came to me after seeing a video where a skydiver's shoot colapsed from some freak gust of wind and he died as a result.  Another died base jumping when his parachute did not open.

Well, the idea is basically a small rubber tube that would line the edge of the parachute.  It would have to be researched for the added weight.  The tube would be inflated with a small Co2 cartidge when the parachute opens.  This would make a rigid edge ensuring he parachute fully opens and remains open as it could not close until the release was opened to let the air out.

Note: The ideas posted by me are simply ideas that I have come up with over the years.  They may or may not already exist and possibly used for years, but I am unaware of their existence. If you are interested in any of them, you need to do research first to make sure they are not already in use.

IF ANYONE MAKES A PROFIT on any of these ideas, it would be nice to have a simple 5% kickback of those profits :)
